When completed, the Salt Creek Trail will stretch 16 miles from Menifee to Hemet, California. As it Stands, the existing trail stretches 5 miles in two separate segments. The westernmost 4 miles of the trail have been completed, in addition to a one mile segment along Domenigoni Parkway in Hemet, California.
The entire trail is 12' wide and paved, and when permissible, there is additional soft surface pedestrian trail alongside the paved bike trail. The open section of trail along Domenigoni Parkway connects trail users to the Wildflower trail (spring only) on the banks of Diamond Valley Lake, which is home to impressive wildflower blooms of lupine, poppies, chia, brittlebrush and more every Spring.
There is no designated parking along this trail.
I rode it the other day, I plan on riding again with friends!
It’s a nice trail just need to make it connect to the part in Hemet or possibly make a north / south trail it can connect to for the cities of Perris and Murrieta!
