The 1.08-mile hike & bike trail features a 10-foot wide concrete path with a painted center line. It winds through a Live Oak Forest, running parallel to Tule Creek, and ending at Enterprise Boulevard near (0.3 miles via sidewalk) Memorial Park. Memorial Park contains another 1.65 miles of hike & bike trails. The Tule Creek hike and bike trail begins at a dedicated parking lot next to Walmart. There is a port-a-potty and water fountain at the community pool/skate park roughly half way down the trail. Convenient location just minutes from downtown Rockport.
As you head down TX-35 in Rockport, just north of Walmart, there is a 3-way red light into Walmart's parking lot (you will not be able to see Walmart from this entrance). Turn west off of TX-35 onto this unnamed street. Take a quick right into a small parking lot at the trail head. You will see the trail, a gazebo and a wooden walkway.
Well maintained & easily accessible. Easy for the kids to keep pace.
