Virgin River North Trail

Great Easy Ride for Anyone

March, 2026 by jimawood

Disclaimer: Don’t park and hit the Virgin River North Trail from the Millcreek Park, you have to cross a very buy 4 lane road. There are other parking areas that a join the path. We did both the north and south trails and they make a part of the trail known as the “Mayors Trail Loop.” We did about 11 miles round trip and it was great.

Santa Clara River Trail (UT)

Beautiful Paved Trail with lots of access

March, 2026 by brenda.viglienzoni

The Santa Clara River trail is a beautiful paved trail that connects to several different trails if you want a longer ride than just a few miles. I almost didn’t try it because I knew I wanted around 10 miles. So glad I did. There are many connecting trails to extend your ride if you so choose. A few hills but not too challenging. At least for those of us without an e-bike.

Halfway Wash Trail

easy trail =unexpected fun

October, 2025 by colleen_avon

This was an easy trail, no steep inclines or descents. Travelled it 3 days after rain storm. One of the tunnels was still covered in 6 inches of water/mud!! I wasn’t prepared for that but continued on, a little fun adventure! Came out the other side with bike and feet dirty, lol. Also didn’t realize the trail just abruptly ended in a neighborhood. Had to back track and exit off a side trail i hadn’t noticed before to get to Snow Canyon parkway.

Virgin River North Trail

Nice trail-would recommend!

October, 2025 by allyn.dana

I wanted to write a review since there hasn’t been one since 2020. Great trail, gentle hills and slopes and the trail goes along some businesses and soccer fields etc but stays right along the Virgin River the whole way although it isn’t always visible. There are rest stops and bathrooms along the way as well. Trail has had some repairs so it’s in good shape. Would highly recommend for the length of the ride, its connections to quite a few other trails and for the mountain views!

Roadrunner Trail

Very easy and scenic loop in Mesquite

April, 2024 by mlane14_99

My husband and I rode this trail after staying at the nearby casino. It’s nicely paved and has views of the mountains. We rode the loop which included the easy to ride portion along the road. All of the trail was flat and easy to navigate. A portion of the trail has lights and I was told by a local resident that the lights are on a night to illuminate the trail.

Snow Canyon Trail

Snow Canyon, Excellent Ride

June, 2023 by garyhunter

My wife and I are from Arizona and we’re on our way to Lehi Utah. Stop in Saint George for the night and rode this trail next morning and glad we did! We rid our Catrike Dumouts with E Assist from Tawa pond where we parked and rode up to the state park. Where we payed 5 dollar to get in! What a Beautiful Ride on on a well maintained path with scenic views and as you gradually go up the canyon. This is well worth the entrance fee. What a great way to start a morning. We we be back to ride this again

Highway 18 Path

clockwise is the way to go

June, 2021 by aparrott58

park at the TH just outside the north entrance of Snow Canyon Park and you park for free. Travel southward on Hiway 18 and connect to the Snow Canyon park trail in St Geo. I tried the loop counterclockwise (i was lured in this direction by the stellar views of the Park. I should have followed the reviews tho). The hills on this path are over 15% - there are 3 of them. on our ebikes they were still a struggle. although there is one big hill going northward in Snow Canyon Park (entrance fee is $5 per bike versus $15 for car), the top 1.5 miles where you share the park road allows you to maybe hitch a ride with a friendly vehicle going northward (and uphill) thus allowing you to complete the loop and not push your bike uphill for 1.5 miles. the use of internal combustion engines (unless you hitch a ride with an e-car) is the way to go.

The crazy thing is that the path designers should have used switchbacks on the steep hills (there was room on all the hills) instead of paralleling the highway. At times it made more sense to bike the highway to avoid the hills (the highway hills were at a less steep grade).

Highway 18 Path

Highway 18 Roller Coaster

November, 2020 by david.roderick.mclean

I rode this trail southbound in November 2020. The path parallels Highway 18 with adequate separation. There are some pavement cracks, but not bad.

The upper part by Snow Canyon are flat and benign. The lower portion is a bit more fun. The path does not follow the grade of the road but the natural elevations up and down outside of the road cuts. I call it a "Roller Coaster". Riding south is fairly easy, but riding north would be quite a challenge with some 10% grades.

I made a clockwise loop with Snow Canyon for a fun late-fall ride.

Virgin River North Trail

Nice path along parks, golf courses, River

October, 2020 by kellywheeler

This is a wonderful path with a gentle slope that is lovingly maintained. You wind along the river, by golf courses and parks. We jumped on from the south end and rode to the end and back in 1 1/2 hours. Not crowded — just a few walkers and cyclists.

Highway 18 Path

Plenty of Uphill

October, 2020 by acewickwire

Location: St George, UT
Trail Condition: Wide pavement in good condition.
Signage: This trail is signed as SR18 vice the TrailLink identification as Highway 18 trail. St George trail system has excellent signage.
Comments: This is an uphill trail if starting in St. George and going north. Change in elevation of 1,100 ft. Several of the hills on the trail are steep. We made a loop by taking the Snow Canyon Trail (State Park) route back. Was nice downhill for that portion. The trail parallels the highway but far enough away from the highway to not be bothersome. This trail gets out of town into the desert and surrounding red rocks, beautiful scenery. Combined with the Snow Canyon Trail this makes a great ride. Recommend this loop ride. We liked the counterclockwise direction. Can’t say enough good things about the St George trail system and parks, can only get better with time and more inter-connectabilty (if such a word).
