Crosscut Canal Path

Nice trail

May, 2020 by patriciaann73

I haven’t been on a bike for almost 31 years ... yikes. This is a nice paved trail. Good mild hills and dips to get a workout for a beginner like me. I only did 2.4 miles in 25 minutes. It’s a good start. I will definitely be back. side note: restrooms are clean, soap is in dispenser for hand washing. I also like that there are people of all ages, pets, and families on the paths, and that the baths are wide enough for 2 lane traffic.

Excellent Walking & Biking Trail

We walk or ride this trail several times every week. Heavier traffic on the weekends but still very open.

Arizona Canal Path

Bike the Az Canal

April, 2020 by jilljheywood

Going east to west: We couldn't figure out how to start at the dam but we started where the AZ canal crosses the Beeline Highway. The ten miles across the reservation are rocky and rutted; then Scottsdale ride is a piece of cake. As you get to Central Ave. and continue to just west of the I-17 you hit a lot of underpasses which is awesome to not have to get off your bike. The only problem is there are homeless and belongings in the underpasses so slow down and be cautious. After about 43rd avenue; the rest of the trail to the Rio Vista Park in Peoria was great. We rode 39 miles.

Santa Cruz River Park Trail

Central Arizona Project to Arizona Canal Trail

Beautiful bike path

I think this is the best path in Scottsdale. You will really enjoy this path.

Indian Bend Wash Path

Great bike path

April, 2020 by sracherla

This path is great for biking. It winds through neighborhoods and parks. The path is very green as you pedal through the parks, beautiful landscapes, water features, and clean. I enjoy this path as often as I can. Slight uphill grade going north, you will find the path mostly flat and an easy ride. What is nice is that the south end connects to other trails. Highly recommended.

Shea Boulevard Trail

City road

April, 2020 by sracherla

The path is along Shea Blvd. There are several road crossings at lights. Not much of a scenery. On the East end of the trail, the mountains are beautiful. The grade is uphill going East. Going west was an easy ride. It was good to ride the path once. I am not sure that I will do this path again.

Santa Cruz River Park Trail

Most of the path is beautiful! Riding alone is great except that almost every bridge and intersection you will not be alone. You will find people sleeping on or near the path, evidence of people living on or near the path, and gratuitous litter in these hot spots. Obviously it is mostly safe but for many miles it does not feel or look safe

Rio Salado Pathway

Easy running trail

March, 2020 by joemejia5

Accessed the trail from the parking lot of 16th St south of the 17. Ran on the south side of the trail and was able to run almost 3 miles east and did not have stop to cross the street. The path is flat except when going under bridges. The only tough climb is about a mile east when you go under 24th street, the rest wasn’t too bad. There are stickers and painted arrows to guide you to the trail that takes you under the bridges, thanks to whomever does that. Heading East I enjoyed a great view of Phoenix Sky Harbor airport but if I had taken the north side of the trail I wouldn’t have gotten that Far East as the trail seemed to end by then.

Consolidated Canal Path

nice long ride

March, 2020 by gilbertwilliams1

Hubby & I did this ride departing from Tumbleweed park. It was 16 miles to Hohokam Park in Mesa. The map said that was the end of the line but it appeared we could continue on the gravel path The trail goes concrete to gravel frequently. I didn’t think crossing the railroad tracks was a big deal as other reviews mentioned it. We did this ride mostly at night and it was lighted on the east side most of the way. It took us 2.5 hrs to do the 32 miles round trip. We were on pedal assist bikes and averaged 16 mph.
