Chamblee Rail Trail

Cute family trail

March, 2023 by greer.hagler

Nice trail for a quick family walk but too short for much more than a stroll.

Peachtree Creek Greenway

Nice ¿

March, 2023 by greer.hagler

Small parking lot on each end. Lovely wide, paved sidewalks. Great path for young bikers. More things added each time we go, swings, benches, etc. Beautiful bridge over the creek and nice art installations. Very quiet. Almost too empty to feel safe. Very few people mid day.

Rockdale River Trail

Love a long trail in the woods . Only 2 road crossings. Clean and well kept. Lucky to have so many nice connected trails in this area.

Longtime Coming

This beautiful 10 mile trail cuts through the low ridges in west central Georgia from Hamilton to Pine Mountain. Calloway restaurant sits about the halfway point. Leaving from Hamilton you can ride to Pine Mountain or take 354 into FDR Park for a more challenging mountain course. Possibilities and workout levels are endless.

Jekyll Island Trail

I can't give enough stars for such a nice wide trail that roams through beach views, piers, playgrounds, coastal ponds, historical buildings and more.

Jekyll Island Trail

Best trail ever!

February, 2023 by k.bridges

Jekyll Island will spoil you! It’s worth the drive wherever you are! Clean, we’ll kept and park services are superb. Safety and security is top notch. There’s even a GA State Trooper post located on the island. Great restaurants and the entire island is bike and dog friendly!

Chattahoochee Riverwalk

Great trail but poorly maintained

February, 2023 by k.bridges

Great trail for riding bikes but very poorly maintained. Rode from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm on a Sunday and not one restroom marked along the trail was unlocked and most were very unkept and grown up on the outside. We’ve visited and ridden trails all over the southeast and we were disappointed in this trail. Loved the trail but didn’t like anything else about it, especially the constant dodging of dog poop right there on the paved trail. You would think that people would at least get them in the grass off the side! Safety for your vehicle is also a priority as most parking areas are high crime.

Arabia Mountain Trail

I sometimes take a walk/jog on this trail from the library near the mall to Vaughters farm and back. You may recognize the barn from the HBO series "The Outsider" by Stephen King.

Jekyll Island Trail

Rode 12 miles of the best bike trails. The path will take you by the ocean, historical area, piers, concessions, sunny and shaded areas. Check the tide charts for low tide, so you can ride the driftwood beach section.

Chattahoochee Riverwalk

Great short trail

February, 2023 by neil4

I've ridden this trail a few times in recent years on my annual drive south to Florida. It's only about 11 miles long on the east side and 1 mile on the west side, but very scenic and interesting. I stay at the Courtyard Phenix, which has easy access to the trail over a cool bridge. The Hotel Indigo rooftop bar has a not-to-miss view, although food and service is meh.

Jekyll Island Trail

Not so good for inline skating, but great for bikes

January, 2023 by susancnett

We loved Jekyll Island and most of the trail.

Most of the trail is lovely, but there are some sections where the surface is rough making it a challenge for "small wheels" like Inline skates or Trikkes. One section was worn concrete and a few sections had shells embedded in the concrete, which looks pretty but is a rough surface to skate on.

Much of the trail is brand new, wide, concrete and is excellent. Near the south end, the pavement suddenly stops and you are forced onto the road if you are on wheels that can't ride on sand. I hope they will continue the paved section all the way around the south end. It wasn't crowded when we road (January) but in the summer, riding on the road would not be safe.

The trail is well marked and we will come again, but plan our trip with caution to the unpaved portions.

Jekyll Island Trail

Rare Gem

January, 2023 by julie222

This little Island has beauty, history, great restaurants, and many activities that are all accessible via the bike trail. It was a grand day out for sure. We covered the entire trail, toured the historic Jekyll Island Club and museum; ate a terrific lunch on the water and enjoyed the beach. Who could ask for more?
