Leesburg Junction Speaker Series - W&OD Trail: How It Came to Be

Event Description

Our beloved W&OD Trail has a beginning and an end: from Alexandria to Purcellville. Ever wonder how the whole thing began? Join us as Barbara Hildreth, the "Mom of the W&OD Trail", recounts how a good idea became the skinniest park in the NOVA Parks system, spurring a commuter alternative, economic development, and a connected community along its 45 miles. Still an advocate for the Trail, she shares what needs to be done to keep it thriving for years to come. Come enjoy this night of inspiration, learning, and networking!
