The 312 RiverRun is a 1.1-mile biking and walking trail located on Chicago's northside along the North Branch of the Chicago River, nestled between Gordon Tech High School and Lane Tech High School. The trail goes through Clark (Richard) Playlot Park, where there is a boat house that offers canoe and kayak rentals. After passing through this park, it continues along an impressive wooden boardwalk with scenic vies of the surrounding city. This bridge crosses the river and then continues northbound until reaching Horner Park, a huge park with a natural area, sports fields, playgrounds and more.
There is public transportation via 77 Belmont, 152 Addison or 49 Western buses. Street parking is limited.
It actually extends N into Horner Park. Good urban wildlife viewing.
I love it because i saw everything and see cool boats and it was not dirty it's so clean and beautiful i have fun and it was awesome
Runs along the river. The park is nice but the trail seems a little dirty with trash around the sides. There are multiple benches along the trail for resting. Not a bad trail, but not a very pretty trail either. So if you’re looking for some sight-seeing as you run then this may not be the ideal spot to run.
