Overview
The Alfred J. Lima Quequechan River Rail Trail, formerly just the Quequechan River Rail Trail, travels along the northern shore of scenic South Watuppa Pond in Falls River, MA.
About the Route
The trail, first created in 2012, created a ten-foot-wide paved surface with three-foot grass shoulders that run over a former railroad bed and five timber bridges to connect with Britland Park and Rodman Street.
The trail although short, was designed to make Fall River more bikeable, and it does just that. In addition to connecting Britland and Interchange Park with local businesses, it also provides trail users with a safe crossing underneath Hwy. 195.
The Alfred J. Lima Quequechan River Rail Trail runs between Wordell St. (Fall River), where parking is available, and 2 Grand Army of the Republic Hwy. (Westport).
Please see TrailLink Map for all parking options and detailed directions.
Great walk. It was 4 miles round trip to go to the end by Lepages seafood. Very scenic. Watch out for the Fiesta duck in the beginning with the red head. He gives you a hard stare down and will chase you. But lots of artwork along the way.
Awesome trail to walk I walk there every day nice and peaceful I like all the different sounds nature, traffic nice people on trail a lot of regulars so on the way you meet new friends best trail ever
This is an attractive trail. The map at the beginning seemed inaccurate, bc it shows circular trail(s) on each side of river but we couldn’t find any on the other side. Besides that, it was very noisy with highway noise from I-05.the VERY noisy
What a gem! If you enjoy walking, jogging, rollerblading, cycling, etc., on your own or with family and friends do not hesitate to explore this trail that will only get better with it's expansion. The beauty is extrodinary, the history fantastic. A little paradise in the middle of this historic mill city.
Explore Fall River further with it's restaurants, dining, waterfront and museums. We welcome you to enjoy!
great place to jog and very peaceful love it go there every day. best thing that ever happen for Fallriver ma
This is a nice little bike path. It is still under construction, but most of it is done. I wouldn't go at night, since it is in the middle of the city and very secluded.
