Running through the City of Artesia, the Historic District Recreational Trails provide new connections between local neighborhoods and businesses, while improving the walkability and livability of the community.
The trail system follows the former Metro right-of-way from 183rd Street to 187th Street, and offers alternative transportation access to Artesia Park, the South Street bike lane, and shopping/dining areas. The paved path is well-lit with native plantings lining the route. Eventually this new bike and pedestrian trail system will provide a connection to the new commuter transit train Metro is developing in the same right of way, which will end in downtown Artesia at Pioneer Blvd and connect Artesia to Union Station in Los Angeles without the use of freeways.
There is no designated parking for this trail.
