Overview
The Austin to Manor Trail provides a convenient trail connection to nearby Austin-Area trails. The trail is a 5.6 rail-with-trail and is largely flat and paved.
About the Route
The Austin to Manor Trail leaves off in the south from the intersection of the Southern Walnut Creek Trail, then winds 2.5 miles through the northeastern outskirts of Austin. The paved pathway first parallels Daffan Lane through a rural area then turns to loosely follow Decker Lane as it skirts through a more tree-filled area along the shoreline of Walter E. Long Lake. The northern part of the trail is a rail-with-trail and follows an active rail line.
Connections
At the southern end of the trail, the Austin to Manor Trail connects to the Southern Walnut Creek Trail.
The Austin to Manor Trail runs between Johnny Morris Rd. (Austin) and W Carrie Manor St. (Manor).
This is a great trail if you want to walk a quick 5 miles (there and back). It’s all concrete and a LOT of bikes go through here. Not a lot of walkers, but definitely worth it.
