The Blunn Creek Greenbelt Trail is located in the historic Travis Heights neighborhood of Austin. The trail cuts a shaded route through the greenbelt, sandwiched between East Side Drive and the creek itself. The hike-and-bike path features a couple of road crossings, and goes over (and under) bridges along its route.
The greenbelt trail is anchored by two neighborhood parks. To the north is the Little Stacy Park, popular with families for its wading pool, but also for its playgrounds, pavilion & picnic tables, and sports amenities (tennis, basketball and volleyball). Live oak trees provide welcome respite from the Texas heat, and open fields invite both play and relaxation.
On the other end is Big Stacy Park, which is a misnomer, as this is actually the smaller park of the two. The park is best loved for its spring-fed, heated swimming pool, open year-round. There's restrooms with showers as well as a play area for the little ones.
The trail surface switches from concrete to crushed granite to dirt, and may not be ADA accessible in parts.
