The Carter Taylor Trail runs in a loop around Appomattox Buckingham State Forest. The trail is open to mountain biking but is comprised of a rough dirt trail surface and has several stream crossings. Hiking and equestrian use are also very popular activities for the trail.
The Carter Taylor Trail is near Holiday Lake State Park.
Parking is available along Walker Rd. and at several other points throughout the state forest.
