Duck Creek Trail (NV) Description

The Duck Creek Trail is a wide, asphalt trail that follows the course of its namesake creek through residential areas in southern Las Vegas, eventually leading into the Clark County Wetlands Park. The trail traverses along the concrete and earthen sides of the creekbed, offering the rare glimpse of naturally-flowing water in the desert landscape. There's no shade to be had on the trail, and while the surroundings are far from rustic, the trail is well-paved and signed with well-marked road crossings.

Providing a path for residents to safely walk or bike to nearby schools on the western end, the eastern end of the trail takes you into the county park, where a variety of paved and unpaved nature trails await. Wetlands Park is home to a popular nature center and natural preserve area (no bikes or dogs allowed), known for its beautiful groves of Cottonwood trees providing a dose of shade and color under the hot Nevada sun. Connect to the Flaming Arroyo Trail on the other side of the park, which allows you to take a longer ride through East Las Vegas.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at the eastern trailhead, located off of S Broadbent Boulevard, between Frances Celia Avenue and Broadlake Lane.

Nice trail follows wash from duck Creek to Nellis and Russell. Pretty clean A few homeless near Boulder highway. Mostly flat slight incline near Nellis. Nice way to get to and from the wetlands.
