The Foss Creek Pathway offers a short, pleasant route through the small town of Healdsburg and is lined with public art and landscaping.
Open in two disconnected segments, the trail follows the currently inactive Northwestern Pacific line, but plans are in place to use the tracks for the SMART commuter rail line, which will parallel the trail. When complete, the SMART Pathway will span 70 miles from Cloverdale to Larkspur.
Parking is available at the trail's northern endpoint at Carson Warner Memorial Skate Park on Grove Street. Trail users can also find on-road parking spaces where the trail crosses Matheson Street.
