Overview
The Fremont Pass Recreational Pathway travels 3.23 miles alongside CO-91 nestled between the outdoor recreation hubs of Copper Mountain and Breckenridge, Colorado.
About the Route
Both the Fremont Pass Recreational Pathway and the Ten Mile Canyon Recpath leave off from the Far East Lot, a free parking lot with shuttles to Copper Mountain.
The Fremont Pass trail heads south from here where it winds alongside Ten Mile Creek for most of its route. The wide, paved trail never strays too far from CO-31 and crosses the highway about half a mile from the trail's southern endpoint along a wide trail bridge. The trail reaches its southern endpoint just after this bridge along Climax Mine Rd.
This trail along with its neighboring Ten Mile Canyon Recpath not only provides scenic views but connects trail users to the skiing town of Copper Mountain and further north, Frisco.
Connections
At the trail's northern end, the route continues as the Ten Mile Canyon Recpath.
The Fremont Pass Recreational Pathway runs between Far East Lot (Frisco) and Climax Mine Rd. (Frisco), with parking available at the northern end.
