Glens Creek Greenway is a one-mile shared use trail in Asheville, North Carolina. It stretches between Weaver Park and Broadway St. Although short, the trail connects to destinations including Weaver Park, Botanical Gardens, schools and a USDA Research Station.
The trail is part of Asheville’s growing greenways network. The city is working to create a welcoming environment for walkers, cyclists, joggers, folks walking dogs and many other kinds of active recreation. Other greenways to enjoy include French Broad River Greenway, Riverbend Park Greenway. Reed Creek Greenway picks up where Glens Creek ends at Broadway St.
Parking and restrooms are located at Weaver Park (200 Murdock Ave) and the Botanical Gardens (151 W .T. Weaver Blvd).
The first .6 of a mile from the botanical gardens is very nice, being separate from the road, and a long a creek. The last .4 is slightly uphill and alongside the road. Of course there are several miles of trails in the botanical gardens too.
