The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, formerly known as the Tapanzee Bridge, runs for 3.6 miles over the expansive Hudson River.
About the Route
The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge Path is separated from the auto traffic by glass and mesh barriers. The entire trail provides sweeping, scenic views of the Hudson River and below-boat traffic.
Connections
At the western end of the trail, trail users can connect to both the Raymond G. Esposito Trail and the Old Erie Path.
At the eastern end of the trail, trail users can connect to the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail.
The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge Path runs between 267 S Broadway (Nyack) and 333 S Broadway (Tarrytown), with parking available on either end of the route.

While all are grateful that bike and pedestrian access were built into the new TZ Bridge, the rough bumpy surface is completely awful. Neither easy on the feet nor pleasant for bikes. I don’t know if it was like this a few years ago or was planned this way, but it’s disappointing.
