With views of the downtown skyline, the Honey Springs-Cedar Crest Trail offers four miles of paved paths for walking, running, biking and other recreational activities in southern Dallas. Following a former rail corridor, the trail includes two main segments and provides connections between neighborhoods, schools, parks, public transportation, and other community facilities.
Stretching almost three miles to the south and west, the Cedar Crest Trail follows an ONCOR transmission corridor. Its route includes the DART’s Illinois Station and the South Oak Cliff Renaissance Park. At just over a mile long, the Honey Springs Trail also runs along an ONCOR transmission corridor. Heading south from 2403 Skylark Dr to Fordham Rd, the trail provides new connections between neighborhoods and communities.
Looking for more trails in southern Dallas? The nearby John C. Phelps Trail has two segments with 1.2 miles curving around the Cedar Crest Golf Course and .8 miles acting as a connection between Wonderview Park, Boren-Hilseweck Park and John C. Phelps Park.
