The Kulshan Creek Trail links Mount Vernon's downtown area with commercial and residential areas. Use the trail to access schools, parks, natural areas and community gardens. The Kulshan Trail runs between Lions Park at the river and Bakerview Park to the east.
Parking is available at Lions Park along Freeway Drive where I-5 passes over Cameron Way. You can also park at Riverside Drive near where the trail intersects Riverside by Alder Lane. Ample parking is available at Bakerview Park, Fir and 30th streets.
This trail begins with a few confusing blocks through an industrial part of city, but then becomes its own path through a largely shady stretch that is very pleasant. On the river, you can connect with the river walk. For a mile of so of s broad boardwalk, there are nice river views, parks, playgrounds, art, casual restaurants. The trail becomes rough gravel after passing warehouses.
I think without this map it would have been hard to follow this trail when it is on the surface streets. While the trail is in the green belt it is a nice afternoon walk.
