The Lily Cache Greenway travels east-west across Bollingbrook, from the ComEd Greenway to the Plainfield border. The trail more or less follows the course of its namesake creek, and is characterized by prairie with plenty of wildflowers. It exists in three as-yet disconnected segments: the eastern segment is about a mile long, starting on Orchard Road and heading west to Veteran's Parkway, where the trail loops back on itself. A bridge over Lily Cache Creek provides access to Jane Addams Park. Extend your journey by going back to your start point on Orchard Road and take the ComEd Greenway north to the DuPage River Trail.
The middle segment extends from Weber Road to W 115th Street. Access the trail from Lily Cache Sports Field (East). Here, the trail straddles the creek, threading through the sports field, a complex of soccer fields, as well the Oasis playground.
The final segment is just under a mile long, starts in Prairie Trails Park on Essington Road, near Liberty Elementary School. This part of the trail cuts through the park and behind a rows of homes. Rather than prairie, the trail is surrounded by manicured grass and has benches placed at intervals.
East segment: There is no designated parking.
Middle Segment: Park at the Lily Cache Sports Fields (Lily Cache Sportsfields,, 1337 Hassert Blvd, Bolingbrook)
West segment: Parking for the Plainfield Trails Park can be found on Danhof Drive across from Rosemary Drive.
