The Milwaukee RiverWalk provides a pleasant way to get around Milwaukee from the Historic Third Ward, through downtown, and north to the Lower East Side. It also has easy connections to three other important trails in the region: the Hank Aaron State Trail, Beerline Trail, and Oak Leaf Trail.
The paved pathway closely hugs both sides of the Milwaukee River and serves as a cultural hub with its passage through the theater district, views of trailside art (including a Bronze Fonz), and access to some of Milwaukee’s signature museums and art galleries. Shops and restaurants are also close at hand.
As the trail is centered in downtown Milwaukee, on-street parking is available.
This is a trail that is best walked, not biked. In places, it would be very difficult to get your bike up and down some of the steps that exists. It's a very good trail for walking and relaxing. The trail as restaurants, boat rides, condos, hotels & fine arts center along the route.
