You will occassionaly catch trains going by but it is relatively safe. The trail has a great view of the public beach and access to wildlife at the western end of the path. Picnic tables are also available if you plan to spend a leisurely day at the beach. The area is open dusk til dawn and all pedestrians must abide the posted signs.
