Rock Island Connector Description

The Rock Island Connector runs along a former rail line for about half a mile through the city of Lawton. Heading north from the intersection of W Gore Blvd & N Railroad St, the trail travels parallel to N Railroad St until it ends by Ramada Park (NW 1st St). Along its route, the trail passes by several local businesses, a school, and two other parks—Vernon Park and O H Arnold Park.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available by Vernon Park (along Albert Johnson Sr Ave NE) and in a small lot by O H Arnold Park (further north along Albert Johnson Sr Ave NE).

Not much

I was raised in Lawton so while visiting relatives I wanted to check this trail out. There isn't much here and it's very short. Not a trail you would travel to see.
