Its western end traverses the Town Commons, which offers boat access to the waterway. When the trail reaches Green Mill Run, it heads southwest ending in Greensprings Park at a connection with the Green Mill Run Greenway.

Parking is available on the west end of the trail in the Town Commons (100 E. 1st Street) and, on the east end of the trail, in Greensprings Park (2500 E 5th Street).

South Tar River Greenway Reviews

The trail was nice, comfortable & picturis. The East end of trail starts uphill so plenty of coasting time to west end.

Crosses a few busy streets around Greenville but most of it is gorgeous. A little sandy for a road bike though

Safe and ease.
