This trail skirts the northern shore of Storm Lake, connecting the town of Lakeside in the west to the Emerald Park subdivision. The trail is made up of off-road concrete pathways and some on-road portions along low-stress residential streets. The 5-mile route threads through multiple parks and connects adjacent neighborhoods to the lake, offering trail users unobstructed views of the water for long stretches.
You can park at AWAYSIS Park (1490 E Lakeshore Dr.), where you can also find restrooms, a picnic area and playground and access to a swimming beach.
Beautiful trail to ride right next to the lake and through parks. Most of the trail is on the sidewalk, but some is on a bike lane in the street (low traffic).
