Tinley Creek Trail (South) Description

The Tinley Creek Trail is currently in two segments. This southern segment is within the South Green Belt Forest Preserve between Flossmor and Matteson, just west of I-57. The trail traverses wooded areas and open green space interspersed with a few wetlands. Also, visit the northern segment, which stretches from Oak Forest to Palos Heights.

Parking and Trail Access

Park off Flossmoor Road just east of Birch Avenue and off Vollmer Road just west of Keystone Avenue. You can access the trail at the southeast corner of Flossmoor Road and Cicero Avenue but no parking is available.

God's Trail

I LOVE THIS TRAIL!!!! I LIVED IN GLENWOOD IL FOR 6 YEARS, AND I MOVED BACK TO OH IN 2006. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BE. GOD'S COUNTRY!!!
BY FAR THE BEST TRAIL FOR WALKING. 1 TIME AROUND ALMOST 4 MILES. A WALK WITH GOD AND STILL TAKE IN THE VERY SCENIC VIEWS AS YOU WALK. I WISH I HAD THIS SAME TRAIL HERE IN WILLOUGHBY OH.
EVERY TIME I RETURN TO VISIT I ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO WALK THIS TRAIL. SO MANY FOUND MEMORIES!!!

I used to run this trail in highschool, and I love to cycle or walk it now.

Great trail, kept up well and generally not TOO much traffic. Love the scenery and its so nice to have an uninterrupted loop to do laps!
