Walker Park Trail Description

The Walker Park Trail loops around Walker Park, providing access to the various amenities within Fayetteville's second oldest park. Visitors can enjoy a large skate park, playgrounds, soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic areas and a remarkable mural from the early 19th century portraying the everyday life of the community at that time.

Technically, the trail on the western edge of the park is the popular Frisco Trail, which courses south to Town Branch and north through downtown Fayetteville, ultimately linking with other trails throughout the city. There are also breaks in the Walker Park Trail at Block Avenue and College Avenue, so trail users must use the sidewalk or street to complete the loop.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking for the Walker Park Trail is available in Walker Park's large parking lots off Block Avenue, College Avenue, 13th Street and 15th Street. From downtown Fayetteville, take the Frisco Trail south to reach Walker Park.

Nice little access point

Walker Park Trail isn't that long, but it is a great access point for the Razorback Regional Greenway near the south end. There are restrooms and playgrounds and lots of parking. The trail itself goes around the soccer fields baseball fields, handball courts and pavilions. Good place for kids to ride.
