The Zorinsky Lake Trail offers a pleasant excursion on the western outskirts of Omaha. The paved pathway encircles a 255-acre lake, offering beautiful views of the water from all angles. The full route is just over 7 miles, but travelers can do smaller loops by crossing the middle of the lake on the path paralleling S. 168th Street.
Named for the late Senator Edward Zorinsky, the lake area offers numerous recreational amenities, including athletic fields, playgrounds and picnic spots, as well as opportunities for fishing and boating.
Parking is available on the east side of the trail at the Zorinsky Lake Boat Ramp (on the south side of the lake) and off S. 168 Street on the north side of Zorinsky Lake.
