North Pathway

Best biking in a National Park!

August, 2024 by joglazewski

Fabulous views, wildlife , car free connections to campgrounds, trailheads, restaurants, Jackson trail system!!! 10 ft wide paved trail ( section near airport getting lumpy and could use attention) . Connects to Jenny Lake Scenic Road’s dedicated bike lane, and awesome quiet back roads. IMO the best biking in the US!

Not much

Rode all the trails in Driggs. Kind of lame. I invented my own trails.

Some of the trail needs maintenance. Overall a good ride. Lots of road traffic but the speed limit is 45 so it’s ok for noise

Jackson to Dornan’s

The ride was fairly good. I guess they got the trail as far away from the highway as they could. Lots of cars headed to the park. Non stop noise

trail needs resurfaced

The ride is ok thus it got 2 stars. The surface was poorly layed and requires a lot of concentration to not wreck

If you plan on riding more than 2 hours do not park at the Visitor's Center. They told us we would not be allowed any longer. Beautiful trail though

Pleasant ride...will do again

We rode this from Victor to Driggs and back. Parking is very good at the Victor trailhead. If you forgot something Victor is conveniently located to get last minute stuff. It can be cool in the morning but get very warm by noon so dress accordingly. We had little wind but there are very few trees in the area and I think it would not be fun on a windy day. The trail is paved in asphalt and in good shape--mostly flat. There were a few other users...mostly cyclers. There were a few bunches of trees along the way to stop and get a drink. The trail does go almost into Driggs. You can take the surface roads to get food or take a break. Driggs is a nice town with grocery stores, restaurants, etc. ID-33 is a 2-lane highway that runs adjacent to the trail and in June there are a lot of tourist traffic and it can be a bit noisy...but not bad. Do it again for sure.

Jackson Hole Community Pathway System

wonderful trail

Amazing trail; definitely worth exploring. Awesome interconnected pathway with excellent signage. Most sections are paved and completely separate from the road - even though they parallel many main roads. We went 32 miles in eBikes which was good due to the wild.

moose

We rode from Wilson Rd past the Teton village. Absolutely beautiful. Not tough at all. We stopped to take a picture of a moose and noticed he was a wood cut out. They put them on that road to slow people down. Ingenious.

Still best trail in USA. The trail ends at Jenny Lake. I found a bike path that goes along Jenny Lake ask a ranger when you arrive at Jenny Lake how to get to it...

Bear?

Ditto to other reviewers regarding trail condition and views. NP has provided a great parking lot at Jenny for just bikes which was really nice.

A few weeks before our visit, the NPS website indicated there was a grizzly sow w/ cubs in the area near Jenny Lake. They were right. See photo. She was still in the area, probably planning on food rewards in the CG...

Jackson Hole Community Pathway System

great trail

June, 2020 by aparrott58

Rode from wilson to park entrance. trail is paved the entire way and even though it rides alongside the road, it really isn't that bad. watch for moose though...esp the lifesize models.

The entire jackson pathway is interconnected which the RTC map is in error. We parked at the huge transfer shuttle parking lot which is central to the main trail and spurs.

There are lots of views, turns, hills and benches. Great way to get around the "hole", esp when the main highway into the town is jammed with vehicles and the only bridge in town is under repair and 50% of the car lanes are closed...
