Tuxachanie National Recreation Trail

Good trail for a workout ¿ went 4 miles in yesterday. Volunteers with chainsaws clearing trail. Lots of families with small children. Didn't see any wildlife but deer prints.

Fort Morgan Road Trail

Repair warranted

January, 2021 by crowculbertson

The trail appears in process of being repaired. It needs it. I think my gravel bike with larger tires helped out. I parked at Lagoon Park some 1.8 miles west of 59. Rest rooms and great parking with view of little lagoon. So wished the trail would extend farther west.

Nice

Pretty 5 miles. More of a town ride. Being fixed and upgraded, Nov 2020. One medium hill.

What a nice walk to end our trip!¿

Loved the tall pine trees. Trail was awesome!! We had time to only walk 6 miles. One of the best we’ve walked. Looking forward to coming back soon and walking the entire trail!!

Eastern Shore Trail

Casual trail ride

August, 2020 by pete.moore

Just rode the trail from Village Point Park Reserve to downtown Fairhope, about 8 miles one way. Not much change from what previous reviews describe regarding the condition of the trail and obstacles/traffic you'll encounter. It's a beautiful ride but you just have to be prepared to NOT have a smooth ride, and to ride at a casual pace (unless you're on a mountain bike). Fairhope is a great stop-over with some good restaurants, but beware of Monday closures. Also a nice area to go off trail and explore.

Citronelle Walking Trail

Citronelle trail

Flat and level, lined with small oak trees. Seems well maintained. At 2 miles one way, very nice as a walking trail. Was there April 2020, great way to spend a few hours.

Eastern Shore Trail

Limited recreational trail

The section of the trail between Fairhope and Daphne is broken and heaved concrete and dangerous! Beware. East of Barnwell we made a wrong turn and eventually dead ended in Weeks Bay. That mistake proved to be the best part of this ride - scenic along with a bike lane.

Mobile Airport Perimeter Trail

Okay for walking and Sunday riding. Not good route for training. Too many cross streets. Tree roots pushing up the asphalt.

Not a Good Recreational Trail

March, 2019 by nmoskal

Fairhope north to Daphne was one of the worse biking trails we have been on. Long inclines and descents on broken and dangerous sidewalk. Fast traffic prevented us from riding on the road-there is no bike lane. Fairhope South is a flatter option on sidewalk and some bike lanes. There’s always traffic.

Fort Morgan Road Trail

Close to the park

We rode in the Gulf State Park and decided to add this to our adventure. It did have a few rough places but nothing to make you want avoid the trail. If was a pretty ride and there were several places to make pit stops!

Mobile Airport Perimeter Trail

Great

This trail runs along the perimeter of the Brookley airport. It is quiet and secluded as it runs behind houses. Most riders extend it by riding along the bay road to the park. It has little to no traffic and is perfect for road bikes.
