Creek Road Trail

Nice easy trail run

November, 2020 by frank.maslanka

Generally flat, gravel/small rock trail along the creek. Enjoyable trail run for all seasons.

Prickly Pear Trail

Fresh Pond DE State Park prickly pear

November, 2020 by kferrusi

Well kept, wide trail on level ground; it was a great walk. Some bike riders went by with plenty of room to spare. The air smelled fresh and clean. We walked all of the trails in the park in one outing. We will return in all seasons. And it was quiet. We could hear Rte 1 from time to time; but it was not intrusive.

Swamp Forest Trail

Somewhat difficult mountain biking

October, 2020 by jdrussell11

Had fun biking it, but didn’t expect the challenge. Rode the longer Little Jersey trail first, which was pretty smooth and flat. This trail is not smooth. Wife crashed 3 times. Not a rail trail. Gotta have some rough trail mountain biking experience to safely negotiate entire trail.

Seahorse Trail

Holt Landing State Park

Best of both worlds - bayside ride and forest ride. Great playground for the kids. Picnic areas along the way just off the trail with tables/benches.

Georgetown-Lewes Trail

Rode the entire trail and back with the family. It was a bit tiring towing the little ones behind me but the whole family had a blast!

Prickly Pear Trail

Horseshoe Crab Graveyard

September, 2020 by benbowne

Peaceful forested ride out to a point overlooking the bay where you will encounter a horseshoe crab “graveyard” due to tidal conditions. Easy path conditions for our kids (11 & 7).

Jack A. Markell Trail

Getting your JAM on!

September, 2020 by awardigo

I loved this ride! Rolling down the boardwalk sounded like one of those wood roller coasters. The views are beautiful. Traveling south to New Castle, you’ll be rewarded with Battery Park’s beach views on the river. Travel North into Wilmington proper, you’ll be rewarded w/ a vibrant riverside with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy a nosh or beverage. I’m not sure why this map doesn’t include the 2mi north that are part of the Riverwalk. All in all, a great trail.

Georgetown-Lewes Trail

Road from Tall Pines to Lewes and back, plan on making it longer by continuing on the Breakwater trail. Nice ride and mostly cars stopped and let you cross.

Michael Castle Trail

beautiful paved trail for the win ¿¿

August, 2020 by rddornbusch

Rollerbladed Saint George's entrance to Delaware City and back. 10 miles total trip! Great parking and restrooms at George's trail head. Paved every bit of the way making it a wonderful trail for blading. Will return again, and again and again ¿¿

Swamp Forest Trail

Terrible trail!

August, 2020 by padge.eod

I would give ZERO stars if I could. The trail is not clean of debris, not graveled, and extremely muddy. Most of the trail is not family friendly, especially for strollers. The grass on the Jersey trail was nearly knee deep. Mosquitoes were absolutely horrendous! I highly recommend going somewhere else!

Michael Castle Trail

Nice ride from New Castle to Chesapeake City and back to New Castle. Nice views of the bridges, boats and birds. A great 30 mile round trip in light rain. Nice blacktop, well kept and clean. Can't wait to do it again.

Little Jersey Trail

fun trail

August, 2020 by natebruno1

On August 14, 2020 we took a spin through the Lums Pond trails. We managed to hit all 3 major trails and it was a fun morning of riding. Lums pond trails offer an easy to moderate ride with relatively smooth trail surface and not much technically challenging riding. It currently has a significant number of trees down from recent storms but the crews are working hard to clear the trail blockages. Very enjoyable riding.
