An amazing stopping point is the riverbank behind the Langdale Mill. There is an historic Georgia Power Building and spillway. If you visit nearing dusk, the light on the river and trees are breathtaking.

Downtown Valley consists primarily of the historic Langdale Mill Village. There are numerous historic sites including Word's Dairy, the Kissing Bridge, the Iron Man, and the Horace King Memorial Covered Bridge, seen here.
