The official trailhhead for the Angel Park Trail is located in Bruce Trent Park, near the park exit onto Vegas Drive. It is marked by a plaque commemorating the dedication of the trail. The trail winds south along a detention pond, emerging onto Durango Drive, where it follows the wide concrete sidewalk along the road over Summerlin Parkway, past a playground and a park-and-ride lot on Durango & Westcliff Drive. The off-street asphalt path picks up again just past the transit center (watch out for buses going in and out) and heads south into Angel Park. The traces the edge of the park and meanders west across a bridge and along the south perimeter of the Angel Park Golf Course, which unlike Angel Park, is private property. The trail makes its way to Rampart Boulevard, where there is a signalized crosswalk and a section of sidewalk adjacent to the boulevard to help users reach the final trail segment. From Rampart Boulevard, the trail sits sandwiched between the golf course on the north side, and the Suncoast Hotel and Casino on the south side. The trail terminates on Alta Drive but you can always turn back and retrace your steps back to Bruce Trent Park for a 5.4 mile round-trip.
Parking can be found at Mile 0, Bruce Trent Park (8851 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas).
