The Anthem East Trail runs along the McCullough Range from Anthem Hills Park to neighborhoods off Shadow Canyon Drive in Henderson. The trail affords stunning views of Las Vegas and the surrounding desert landscape. The first 0.75 mile of the trail from Anthem Hills Park is paved, but the vast majority of the trail has a rough dirt surface with some challenging ascents.

Anthem East Trail Reviews

B-Loop

Nice easy ride for the first half uphill and some down hill trail was good. Once you make the loop you'll go down hill and the conditions of the trail gets worse as if the rain took the trail away. and it will be like that till you past the downhill and then uphill. Had to get off and walk the uphill because it was too steep for me and poor trail condition for my bike and me. But the view is great and the workout was even better. I'll still do it again

Worth the drive (not too far, convenient off of I-215) as runners can escape the asphalt and fumes of Vegas and enjoy the desert hills. Great views though I wouldn't run it during the summer heat. Difficult run, lots of elevation change (900' difference between max and min on my run) and the majority of the trail is dirt/gravel/rocks. Well marked and the mileage is accurate. Toughest portion is between mile 2 and 3 as it's steep uphill over loose rocks. Ran out to mile 5 and back, no report on the last 2 miles of the trail. Recommend, will go back there on my next business trip.

Anthem East Trail

The trail head was a little hard to find. The sign was really small, but once you are in Anthem park trun right at the first road going up the hill and park next to the back baseball field. Trail head has picnic tables and very clean. First 3/4 mile was paved and the rest was dirt/gravel. Great views of Las Vegas. My GPS reported 302 yards of elevation change during the 2.5 mile distance plus the loop. 1/30/12 P.S. take a bottle of water, the air is very dry.
