Print Friendly MapThis trail passes through a landscaped greenway in an overhead electric utility corridor though the city of Gilbert, just outside Mesa and Phoenix. The trail runs from a junction with the Eastern Canal Path at its namesake waterway in Crossroads Park north to Baseline Road. The trail passes through a number of residential communities and provides an excellent recreational opportunity for nearby residents, while providing a connection to the numerous businesses along Baseline Road.
Parking and restrooms for the Baseline Road to Eastern Canal Path are available at Crossroads Park (2155 E. Knox Road) in Gilbert.
Such a fun trail! It goes on for awhile too!
Used the consolidated path to jump on this path from baseline and Val vista. Loved that the trail was cement and weaved through quiet neighborhoods. Was tree lined a lot of the way. Got to Crossroads and wanted to ride more so it was easy just to stay along canal and take it south for a longer ride. This path has lots of crossings with crosswalks that force cars to stop so it’s safe and a pretty ride. Sometimes can be a little confusing where the path goes next, but overall a good ride.
So, we decided to meet at Crossroads Park. Unfortunately, there is no pavement from the parking lot to the trail. Luckily, I brought a small pack to put my shoes in. The first section is what I used to dream about when I was younger, and skated hours every day. Super wide path, very smooth concrete, and partly under trees. Not too many people at all. The older parts of the trail aren’t as smooth, or as shady, but they were still great. We skated up to Baseline, and back to the park. Fantastic ride!
The paved area starts at Broadway Road and goes all the way to Pecos and Lindsey a couple of blocks south Zanjero park about 11 miles
I ride this trail several times a month. It's accessible about a mile from my house. I take it south to the park just south of the 202. It is paved all the way and most crossing have traffic lights that allow you to cross safely. Just past Warner you can pick up another path north and access other trails. I would recommend this trail.
We couldn't really find the entrance. When we did find the trail it was hard to stay on it because it zigzagged. When we got to the last leg of the trail there was a no trespassing sign and it said no biking. We had to turn around and go back. I wouldn't recommend this trail.
