Briar Creek Greenway is open in four disconnected segments totaling 2.9 miles in the Charlotte suburbs
The northernmost section runs about a half mile between the Merry Oaks and Plaza Midwood neighborhoods. Mid-way, there is a pedestrian bridge over a wooded creek.
The next section of trail runs between Chantilly Park and the Chantilly Montessori School.
Further south, another mile of trail runs through Eastover Park, where parking is available.
The southernmost mile of trail flanks the west side of Myers Park High School.
For the northernmost segment: On-street parking is available on Masonic Drive.
For the southernmost segment: When school is not in session, parking is available at Alexander Graham Middle School (2206 Runneymede Lane).
The section by the schools has no good parking. The greenway is not contiguous between the schools section and the Museum section at this time.
This needs to be updated. It now goes up and past the Mint Museum.
I’m glad it’s there it’s a nice link from Merry Oaks to the Country club neighborhood which we love riding bikes in. It’s definitely the smallest greenway I’ve ever seen though:
