Overview
The Cactus Trail is a short multiuse trail that runs north and south of Cactus Avenue between W Rialto Avenue and W Baseline Road in the City of Rialto. The trail has a paved, concrete surface.
About the Route
Like the multiuse Colton Rail-Trail, the Cactus Trail has separate lanes for bicyclists and pedestrians. The lanes are separated by a painted line. The trail is also separated from car traffic by a white fence.
The Cactus Trail connects to the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail (also known as the Pacific Electric Trail) at PET's Rialto Trailhead on N Cactus Avenue. This smooth connection provides a protected off-road link for pedestrians, bicyclists, and more between Rialto and Claremont.
The trail does not have any signage, lights, or vegetation providing shade along the route. It is managed by the City of Rialto and the San Bernardino County Water District.
Connections
Near the southern end of the trail, it connects to the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail (also known as the Pacific Electric Trail), which heads west to Claremont.
The Cactus Trail runs between W Rialto Ave and W Baseline Rd in Rialto. Parking is available at the Rialto Trailhead of the Pacific Electric Trail On N Cactus Avenue.
