Centennial Park Trail Description

This paved trail runs along the north edge of the South Platte River. The trail begins on the west end of Centennial Park, at the Recreation Complex. From there it winds past the dog park and soccer parks before coming to US-83. There are benches overlooking the water placed strategically along the route. To get to the Visitor Center from US-83, take the pedestrian path across the river, and then loop under the highway.

The Centennial Park Trail is part of North Platte's Trail Network, which has trails for every taste, including the Lake Maloney Trail on the west shore of the Lake Maloney State Recreation Area.

Parking and Trail Access

You can start your journey at either end: the Visitor Center (101 Halligan Drive) or the Recreation Complex (1300 McDonald Rd).
