Lake Maloney Trail Description

This concrete hike-and-bike trail sits on the west shore of Lake Maloney, about six miles south of Lake Platte. The path starts right at the lake's inlet point and curves its way down past the golf course and Jaycee Park, before terminating at South Beach. The trail is part of the North Platte Trails Network, a growing collection of trails in and around the city. In addition to the trail, the 1200-acre Lake Maloney State Recreation Area offers additional recreation options for visitors including boating, angling, swimming and picnicking.

Parking and Trail Access

There are several parking options within the Lake Maloney SRA (301 East State Farm Road, North Platte).
