The Coachella Valley (CV) Link is a 40-mile route through the heart of its namesake valley. The trail is currently open in three distinct sections.
The trail's southernmost section through Coachella follows the Whitewater River between Airport Blvd. and Washington St. Further east in Rancho Mirage, a 5-mile mostly on-road route runs between Cook St. and Painter's Path. The third and northern section leaves in the south from Date Palm Dr. and heads north. However, at Calle Arriba, the trail splits in two. The northern route takes trail users to the Palm Springs Visitor Center and the southern route takes trail users to Palm Canyon Dr.
