The Comanche Trail Park is a linear park in Odessa, Texas. The trail has a paved multi-use trail running the length of the park. Starting at the west entrance of the park, the trail takes a wooded course before crossing Crane Avenue and cutting through McKinney Park. From there the trail ducks under I-20, and then crosses the Interstate 20 Service Road into the south section of the trail. The trail loops around the park's fishing pond.
The west park entrance is located at 900 S County Rd W, Odessa while the south entrance is located at 301 Interstate 20 Service Rd, Odessa, TX. Aside from fishing in the stocked pond, disc golf is the other prominent activity in the park. McKinney Park (625 W Pool Rd, Odessa) has parking, restrooms and amenities for sports including basketball, tennis and baseball.
Starts off walking into one of the few areas that has trees in the area. Great canopy cover. Then passes into a large park, and under the highway around a small pond, and back the way you came. NOTE: not recommended after dark, homeless population moves into wooded area after dark and at times are a bit aggressive with panhandling.
