O.T. Smith Shared Use Path Description

This shared-use path sits on the east side of O.T. Smith Road. The path addresses safety concerns for the pedestrians and cyclists who were forced to make a dangerous commute along this road. Now, the wide, two-lane asphalt path provides a safe conduit for non-drivers to connect to neighborhoods, businesses and schools in Tornillo, day or night, thanks to installed lighting. The path also provides access to Coyote Park, which was renovated in 2020 and includes a playground, basketball court, 14,000ft of grass.

Parking and Trail Access

There is parking at Coyote Park, including at least two accessible parking spots. Coming from Alameda Avenue, the park is located on the right side of OT Smith Road, past Drake Road.
