In the City of the Urbandale, the Coronado Park Trail runs from the Dunlap Park and Arboretum to Coronado Park on Sanders Drive. At its northern endpoint, this short paved trail can be accessed via a number of paths that connect it to the surrounding neighborhoods. The northern-most entrance to the trail runs behind 3208 Patricia Dr. There is also trail access from the Arboretum's parking lot (3020 Sherry Ln) and from Coronado Park by both near 2920 Eula Dr and by 2521 Sandler Dr.
Coronado Park Trail connects to another short trail on Patricia Drive. Coronado Park has a playground, a basketball court, a grill, an open field, a picnic shelter and picnic tables. Walker Johnson Park is just north of the trail and has public restrooms, as well as a variety of recreational facilities.
Parking is available at Dunlap Park and Arboretum (3020 Sherry Ln) and Walker Johnson Park (9000 Douglas Ave).
