Overview
Frisco's Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail is 2.2 miles of trail within the Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Park.
About the Route
Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail features two miles of trails, wetlands, and ponds, plus platforms for fishing and viewing wildlife. The park won a Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) statewide award in 2018 for the best park design in its population category.
Located within the Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt, this trail runs from Teel Parkway under the Dallas North Tollway to Wakeland High School.
This ecosystem features off-channel ponds, Blackland Prairie, and wetlands and sits in a floodplain that includes a floodway. This park will preserved naturally, mowing about four to six feet on either side of the trail only to maintain the open meadows.
The Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail (Frisco) runs between Teel Pkwy (Frisco) and Wolverine Way (Frisco).
