The Lone Star Ranch Trail runs through the tree-dotted greenway between the upscale houses that flank Blazing Star Road and Hidden Creek Lane in Frisco, a northern suburb of Dallas.
Near its southern end, the trail offers picturesque views of the neighborhood's ponds and access to a playground near the intersection of Hunters Creek Drive and Hidden Creek Lane. On the northern end of the trail, are two schools and Plum Creek Park, where you'll find a pavilion, playground, and basketball court. Only 3 blocks to the east along Timber Ridge Drive, you'll also find athlectic facilities, picnic tables, a playground, and restrooms at the expansive B.F. Phillips Community Park.
When school is not in session, you can park at Calvin Bledsoe Elementary School (1900 Timber Ridge Dr.) at the north end of the trail. Another option is B.F. Phillips Community Park (3335 Timber Ridge Dr.), which is located 3 blocks east of the northern tip of the trail.
