The Crews Gulch Regional Trail travels through the community of Security-Widefield, southeast of Colorado Springs. Thanks to its proximity to Fort Carson, the area residents are largely military famililes. The trail travels from the Fountain Creek Regional Trail to Creek Regional Trail to Fountain Mesa Road, on the southern border of Bluestem Prairie Open Space. In between, the trail whose mixed surface switches between gravel and concrete travels along a narrow creek and passes through local parks including John Ceresa Memorial Park and Widefiled Park. The latter park is 17 acres of multipurpose park space with facilities for baseball, basketball and disc golf.
Park at Widefield Park (1300 Fontaine, Colorado Springs, CO) or at John Ceresa Memorial Park (1580 Leigh Ln, Fountain, CO).
First trail I've tried using the app. It was a nice ride. My trike made it through easily. Most of one way is downhill so the return was a little more tiring. Overall, pretty fun for an evening ride.
