The Cub Run Stream Valley Trail offers a paved route meandering through Cub Run Stream Valley Park in the Northern Virginia suburb of Centreville. Though it's surrounded by residential neighborhoods, the trail is well screened by trees as it's nestled into the lush wooded valley of the Cub Run stream. In this tranquil setting, travelers will enjoy picturesque stream crossings, wildflowers and birding opportunities.
Although there are currently no designated parking lots for the trail, there are several access points to the trail from the surrounding neighborhoods.
This is a nice scenic shady trail, however it’s pretty overgrown in certain areas.
The trail is pleasant, we went there last Saturday. You could enjoy Virginia Blue Bell, a special blue flower of the area. The stream is beautiful. You have choices of long or short routes. Recommend it!
The asphalt is broken every 4 feet with grass growing through it. It's only 4 feet wide. There are multiple steep slopes with little sight distance. Multiple locations with gravel out washes.
Bicyclists could not pass each other in opposite directions. Very large trees restrict bail-outs.
It has clear been abandoned by the FCPA.
