The Decatur Trolley Line Trail is a paved path that runs through woods in the neighborhoods of McDonugh-Adams-Kings and College Heights in the city of Decatur. The trail follows the former trolley route that ran from the heart of Atlanta out to Decatur. Although currently unconnected from the rest of the Trolley Line Trail, there is the potential to eventually join this segment with the other parts of the trail. The Decatur segment, like the majority of the Trolley Line Trail, follows the former trolley route that ran from the heart of Atlanta out to Decatur. The local PATH Foundation has been instrumental in developing this multi-use pathway.
Making an upside-down "T" shape, the Decatur Trolley Line Trail emerges onto Green St, E Davis St, and S McDonough St with PATH signs at each of the trailheads. During its route through the woods, the trail passes over a creek via a pedestrian bridge offering views of the water. The entrance to the trail on E Davis St is across from a park with a pond and a soccer field, which is part of the nearby college's athletic complex.
Street parking may be available.
