Although less than 1 mile long, the Dobbs Trail offers an important connection between two of Terre Haute's most popular parks, Deming and Dobbs. It follows Poplar Drive, a tree-lined residential street, for most of its route.
At 177 acres, Deming Park is the city's largest, offering a playground, arboretum, disc golf course, public pool and athletic facilities. No less enjoyable is Dobbs Memorial Park with its nature center, Native American Museum, pond, butterfly garden and thick forests.
Parking is available at either end of the trail at Deming Park (off Deming Drive) and Dobbs Memorial Park (5170 East Poplar Street).
