Overview
The East Cannon River Trail runs for 2.6 miles through Northfield, MN. The entire route is paved and largely follows the East Cannon River.
About the Route
The East Cannon River Trail leaves off in the north from its intersection with the Mill Towns State Trail. The route then winds south along an asphalt path, first past the Northfield Dog Park. The entire trail continues uninterrupted along the river and passes local homes and businesses on the other side.
The trail reaches its southern end at Everett St., where there is a small dirt parking lot available.
Connections
At the northern end of the trail, trail users can continue along the Mill Towns State Trail.
The East Cannon River Trail runs between Mill Towns State Trail (Northfield) and Everett St. (Dundas), where parking is available.
